We have three Onsen baths that are brimmed with hot spring water: One of them is Rotenburo, a luxurious outdoor bath which is made of stones from Shiga Kogen. Another one is an indoor bath with a retro theme, built in the early Showa period. Two of the baths can be made available for exclusive use. In our popular Heian bath, we put fresh apples until around March31.
Made of 400-year-old Kiso Hinoki, the bath was renovated in September 9, 2008 and now it is partially outdoor. Please try this brand new bath!
Our hot spring water is from three hot springs which are owned by the Onsen Union of Shinyudanaka. It is colorless, clear and smooth on the skin. It makes your skin beautiful and relieves your
stress.
Made of stones from Shiga Kogen, the bath is big and relaxing. There is a rock table in the middle of the bath, so you can order sake and drink it while relaxing in the bath.Exclusive use of the
bath: We can arrange it for you. Please ask our employees for details.
Matsunoma Room was originally a storage room in the Meiji period. An example of the craftsmanship common at the time can be seen in the designs of the transoms (Ranma) and ceiling panels.
Our guest rooms are traditional Japanese-style rooms known as Washitsu. Igusa, soft rush straw, is used for the material of tatami flooring.
An arrangement of seasonal flowers is displayed in Tokonoma, an alcove in the room. We make sure the rooms are always kept clean. Both transoms and sliding paper doors (Shoji)
in the rooms are decorative and show the artistry of the time.
We prefer to prepare food with locally produced ingredients. Vegetables are fresh from the morning market. Our menu is season-themed and also stomach-friendly.We are friendly ryokan for Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten free and meals request. We look forward to your reservation.
The best of locally produced Shinshu beef is used for our fine dinner cuisine. Since 1930, the Wagyu cattle have been raised with great care in the efficient breeding programs. Shinshu beef is widely known as one of Japan’s best beef.
